Day 22, 09/08/08: Tien Shan

Awoke at 6:00am feeling very hot & clammy; packed up our gear had breakfast & then got the minibus to the airport. Almaty airport is very small with no shops (a bit gutting). The flight back was on time but we ended up circling over Heathrow for about 30mins. When the cloud cleared we looked out & saw a total of 4 other planes either side of us; they looked a little too close for comfort! The landing was rough & on touch-down the plane had swerved making us think the wing would touch - definitely the worst landing I've ever experienced.

Back on British soil & our mission to climb Peak Chapayev 6,230m was complete!
