Day 3, 06/11/07: - Patagonia Northern Icecap
Today was spent doing some navigation work, wilderness first aid lessons oh and 'reading out loud'. Jeez who'd have thought after discovering this problem I'd have to travel all the way to Patagonia to finally have it exposed in the company of others! As Jaya read out her piece (from the laptop) I remember thinking, 'f*ck that's way too long!' then she said she'd like each of us to read 1 bullet point.
OMG, bullet points, thank you Lord! However this elation was short lived as the bullet points themselves were pretty damn long! I cringed as each person read their passage, desperately trying to peer over shoulders to read ahead, it was horrible and I was thrilled when it was over (let's hope there's not too many of those incidences on trip!). We ended the lessons with knot tying, attaching leashes to our packs and tent pitching, it was all really good, especially learning how to properly pitch and tie off a tent.
