About:Bali has a long tradition of Bali Usada, also known as Balinese traditional healing. The Balinese live equally in two worlds: the seen or conscious world called sekala, and the unseen or psychic world, called niskala. In traditional Balinese healing, both of these elements need to be addressed in order to truly heal.
What to expect:The experience will be very public. The healer may make magic, create fire, use mudras, draw patterns on your body & spit wads of chewed herbs on your skin.
Rediscovering Spirit, the Healers' Healing - Bali
"Me...return to a place? You must be mad". When plotting the course of future explorations this was usually my mantra. However, unbeknownst to me in November 2011, I experienced a journey that would change my life forever. I experienced Bali and in doing so I also experienced an unprecedented sense of self.
I was first introduced to the idea of the Healers' Healing Journey in February 2011 upon the fertile soils of Burma. I knew not of the details of what I was embarking upon only that it was something to which I felt deeply connected.
What I experienced in Bali blew my world wide open. I felt connectivity far greater and more potent than the scope of anything I could've imagined.
As each practice with the indigenous healers took me deeper both in to and outside of myself I knew beyond any logical reasoning that I would be returning to this island. Never before on all of my travels have I had the desire or inclination to return to a place let alone to open it up and share it with others, but Bali has certainly changed that.
After spending a long time working with my own demons and angels through various therapeutic and holistic practices I was often left confused. Where; where do I fit in with all this... with everything I'm learning and discovering what is my role and how can I be of service?
Through many blessed experiences I am starting to realise that perhaps my role is to open my heart, to share and to raise the collective imaginations of those that have sought to seek themselves also. To walk, to dance with people as they too uncover the potentiality of their own lives and be present as they begin the process of revealing unto themselves and each other the true essence of this boundless existence.
I am not a teacher or guide but I am committed to walking my path with integrity and curiosity. I am also committed to supporting and facilitating those who wish to do so also.
In April/May 2012 I will be returning to Bali, the difference being this time I will be returning with a small intimate group. Together we will explore this potent depth work at a frequency heightened by the full moon of both Shiva & Buddha. This will be the first of such trips and my intention, in the years to come is to expand this globally with the loving support of my dear friend and mentor Ken Ballard.
In Bali the world unfolds as Niskala/Sekala, Niskala being the inner. Here it is believed that the outer comes into creation from the inner world. As with so many of the ancient cultures the underlying philosophy is simple, 'as above, so below, as within so without' yet within such apparent simplicity lies the most potent of connotations.
Bali is a sacred land where the energy is strong. Here we seek her authentic power to hold and facilitate us as we transform and are transformed. With intention, love, and laughter we dance with and are danced by some of the most exquisite, potent energy matrixes.
Upon the volcanic soils draped in warmth the process unfolds with an invitation to rise with hearts as open as the sky, to learn to live even more, to surrender with unbridled freedom and depth. To experience this is to see, to feel and to recognise our true essence.
Here, upon this fertile landscape we take time to explore ourselves; reveal ourselves and thus provide ourselves and each other with the necessary space, nutrients and support needed to unfold like the lotus, in absolute beauty.
Masters, creators of our own universe we weave together the threads of intention and energy. As our consciousness expands we begin the process of freeing our minds; of letting go of all that we think we know.
'Satsang' is a Sanskrit word that literally means 'meeting in truth'. Be under no illusion this is not an Eat, Pray & Love journey that so many are being drawn to. What this is however is depth work for those committed to actively cultivating self awareness; for those who are seasoned spirit & sky walkers. Meeting in truth takes courage, a desire to face those hidden aspects that so many deny; to walk with our hands and hearts open, our souls exposed as we step into a void of great uncertainty. Upon Bali we offer ourselves, simply as we are.
So my friends, it is with a whole heart that I invite you to step once more into a place deep within that is yet to be discovered. The curious child in me is filled with much intrigue, excitement and some trepidation, after all isn't it true of this life that "nobody said it would be easy; they just promised it would be worth it." (Harvey MacKay).
